There is no power like that of prevailing prayer, of Abraham pleading for Sodom, of Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, of Moses standing in the breach, of Hannah intoxicated with sorrow,of David heartbroken with remorse and grief, of Jesus sweating, as it were, great drops of blood. Such prayer prevails. It turns ordinary mortals into men of power. It brings power, fire and rain. It brings life because it it brings God.
